Tehran School of Architecture

Individual Project

Tehran, 2013

The School of Architecture is designed to accommodate 370 undergraduate and graduate students annually, along with 40 faculty and staff members. Located within the University of Art campus and surrounded by green spaces with a stunning mountain view to the north, the site is easily accessible from both the main street and the campus core.

The school is divided into two buildings based on the level of activity and noise in each space: one building is dedicated to studios, while the other houses the library, multipurpose hall, classrooms, and offices. Two cable-structured bridges connect these volumes, ensuring ease of access and adding visual interest. The design centers on enhancing cooperation and interaction among students. Studios are organized around a central void to promote vertical visual and spatial connectivity. Additionally, gathering areas such as terraces and a lobby-exhibition space foster community and informal exchange. Expansive glass façades strengthen the relationship between interior spaces and the surrounding landscape.
