This project was developed for “Design A Beautiful House,” an international competition sponsored by BW International in association with The School of Life, UAL, MVRDV, and Gustafson Porter in London, England. The proposed site is a former golf course, located in a rural area within the Metropolitan Green Belt and surrounded by lakes and forested land.

The house is designed for a family of seven -four adults and three children- along with two dogs and one outdoor cat. A guest suite is also included. To ensure privacy, spaces are distributed across multiple levels, while an elevator allows full accessibility for a disabled family member on every floor. The design seeks harmony between built form and nature through simple massing and a restrained palette of materials that respond sensitively to the surrounding landscape.
